DESCRIPTION

Inspired by the Maximum Utility Travel Tote, our materials cutter V. wanted a bag that was the same in design, but smaller in size.

This zippered utility tote was named the P.U.P. in honor of it's big sister the M.U.T.T.. Break down the acronym however you like: a Portable Utility Purse, a Packable Urban Pouch  this bag is sure to become your new favorite every day carry bag.

As a mid-size shopping tote, the P.U.P. was created for smaller tote bag fans who want it all and still have it be manageable.

The P.U.P. is a handy utility tote that functions as an EDC bag for everything you need. 828 cubic inch capacity, roughly one half of the M.U.T.T.

Zippered Opening Top:

Carry with confidence that your bag won't be snooped on, or worse, dipped into and your belongings stolen. The classic Red Oxx approved Vislon self-locking #10 YKK zippers keep your goods secured and impregnable to poking pens or other penetration theft tools.

High Density Padded Bottom:

This removes the worry about hard drops with the padding sewn into the base of the P.U.P..

Generous Tablet Sleeve:

This padded sleeve secures your laptop using our tried and true adjustable Fastex 3/8-inch clasp to hold your tablet in the sleeve.

2 Water Bottle Pockets:

A side pocket big enough for 20 ounce or less water bottles holds your essential fluids.

Zippered Bellowed Front Pocket:

This expanding pocket measures 11 inches wide by 9 inches deep and can expand outwards up to one and a half inches. Perfect for storing beanies, gloves, and scarves.

Rollaboard Trolley Sleeve: This is a 9-inch wide handle pass-through webbing slot used for securing the tote to a rollaboard. Next time you travel with a rollaboard, slip your P.U.P. Zippered Tote over the handle of your carry-on, and roll with your tote bag sitting securely on top.

Full Width Interior Single-zipper Mesh Pocket: This see through pocket is 5-inches deep. It can store items like lip stick, memory sticks, earbud headphones, compact mirror, perfume, gum, change or other small items.

The single zipper on this pocket makes it easy to access without a bunch of zip knots getting in the way of each other. See-through mesh allows you to quickly locate items.

Dual (2) Interior Slip Pockets:Measuring 4-inches wide by 4-inches deep, you can securely slip your monster-sized smartphone into one slot and a wallet or change purse in the other.

Will it fit the MacBook Air 13"

The MacBook Air 13 at 11.97" is slightly longer than the width of the tablet sleeve inside the P.U.P. so it wouldn't fit in the padded pocket. It will fit in the main compartment or the outside slip pocket easily enough though.

The M.U.T.T. however, which is a little larger, has an adequate padded sleeve for larger tablets and small laptops at 14"W.

Can the PUP Zippered Tote be used for a carry-on personal item?
The P.U.P. is an ideal carry-on personal item because it's sized for tucking under the seat in front of you.

Why did you add zippers?
The herd asked for a smaller version of the M.U.T.T. they could carry on subways and around town that securely held their belongings. The #10 YKK zipper has a self-locking feature and can't be stealth opened or forced open with a pen or penetration tool.

Why are the handles so long?
Like it's big sister, the P.U.P. was designed for shoulder carry. Our research indicated women prefer this style of carry as it's more secure. Shorter handles makes the bag easier to snatch or look into. If you really like shorter handles, you can easily shorten them by looping one over the other. Since it's fitted with D rings on either end, you can purchase an optional adjustable carry strap. Red Oxx offers two excellent replacement straps, the Long Hauler Comfort Carry Strap and the Red Oxx Claw, a non slip rubber padded strap.

Why did you choose to downsize the Maximum Utility Travel Tote?
Red Oxx wanted to offer to our loyal customers (the herd) a smaller version of the best-selling M.U.T.T.. That bag was originally built as an exclusive and limited quantity edition. In a sea of common tote bags and poorly made crowd-funded copy cats the M.U.T.T. truly stood out head and shoulders above any cheap imported tote. So making a smaller version was a great idea brought to life.

I'm a DJ, will this tote hold record albums?
While 12-inch record albums will fit, no more than 5-10 record albums would max it out. The bellows pocket can be used for storing headphones or old-school CDs.

Are there any interior pockets?
The P.U.P. Tote has two small interior slip pockets and a full width zippered see-though mesh pocket. There is also a padded slip pocket for securing a tablet.

I've read you referenced EDC. What does it mean?
EDC is an acronym for Every Day Carry, a popular new market segment that defines the importance of bringing along certain items that you use daily.

Can I wash my PUP?
Certainly. We recommend using a mild soap like Dr. Bronner's Liquid Soap. Follow the directions for use (be sure to dilute the soap), use a bucket or sink filled with warm soapy water, and a soft nylon brush for more challenging cleaning. Do NOT wash your bag in a washing machine, avoid harsh chemicals like bleach and industrial cleaners, do NOT put in a dryer, as these things can ruin the interior coated lining of the CORDURA® Brand Nylon Fabric. Rinse and then simply hang it up and let it air dry. Washing your bags gently by hand does not void our Lifetime Warranty.
