A monkey's fist is a type of knot that looks like a small fist. Originally used as the weight in a heaving line on sailing ships.
Light reflecting 3M Scotchlite "tracers" are woven into the UV resistant paracord jacket. When light strikes the tracers they reflect hundreds of bright eye-catching little spots.
These sleek little paracord reflective Zip Knots make it easier to grab your zipper pull in the dark and add a valuable dimension of safety. Attach them to you favorite coat or ski jacket .

Yes. It's the original Monkey Fist Zip Knot and it comes in black and gray.
Where are these made?
Our Monkey's fists are hand-tied by our craftsmen in the mountains of Guatemala. The light reflecting parachute cord itself is made in the U.S.A..
What is a Monkey's Fist Knot?
This is a special knot that when tied a particular way, looks like a fist.
What is it used for?
Originally used to secure sails on sailing ships, our Monkey's Fist can be used for all sorts of ideas, from pulling zippers on bags, coats and jackets, to a key chain and so on. Because this version reflects light, it's useful as a safety precaution in the dark.
Can you replace the zip knots on my order with these reflective versions?
Red Oxx cannot selectively replace our regular zip knots that come with all our bags with these reflecting Monkey Fists, but you certainly can order whatever color you like and switch them out yourself. Doing so will not void our Lifetime Warranty.
Can you ship USPS?
