Stephanie and her husband took their first "bucket list" trip to the land down under – Australia. They booked their sports-themed trip with Tennis Ventures and traveled to attend the Australian Open in January of 2016. It was winter in the U.S., but it was a glorious summer in Australia.
The trip itinerary provided numerous opportunities to play tennis at clubs in Melbourne and Sydney in addition to watching the professionals compete at the tournament. Here’s Stephanie with her "Honorable Mention" Summer Adventure Story:
Hello there and greetings!
We flew from Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) non-stop to Melbourne for the Australian Open, spending five days there. Seeing Roger Federer play in person was incredible! Seeing Serena Williams beat Maria Sharapova was phenomenal! We then flew up to Sydney and spent two days touring there before flying back to DFW.
Can Two Tennis Racquets Pack Into A Red Oxx C-Ruck Rucksack?
We knew packing light would be key. We also knew that if we checked our bags with two tennis racquets packed inside, one or both of them might get broken and/or damaged. The C-ruck Carry-on Rucksack came to the rescue.
I was able to pack two tennis racquets inside the rucksack and Qantas Airlines had an overhead bin that fit our packed Rucksack perfectly.
The Rucksack made many journeys on foot with us as we walked while exploring the two cities. The Rucksack visited every tennis club where we played tennis in Australia. It also went to Manly Beach and the Rucksack had a perfect seat for our yacht cruise in Sydney Bay, along the Harbour Bridge.
On the return flight to DFW, I was even able to pack some gifts into the Rucksack. I love the ability of this bag to expand. The extended collar and collar closure help keep the contents secure.
We plan to take another "bucket list" trip once again soon. Our trusty Red Oxx Rucksack will be with us on that trip, too!
Thank you for making quality travel gear!
Cheers,
Stephanie H.
