Travel Site Fodors.com's Senior Editor Doug Stallings Choice for Carry-on Travel
"Sensible Luggage For Trying Travel Times" is the title of the CBS Early Show from June 21st, 2008. During the show popular travel website Fodor's Senior Editor Doug Stallings made suggestions to help travelers "breeze through Airport Check-Ins, despite new rules and fees." Said Stallings,
"...you should always look closely at a few simple things: their size (are they carry-on-able?), construction quality, which is much more important if you plan to check luggage..."
Stallings went on to list several important features discussed in the book "Fodor's 1001 Smart Travel Tips" in your search for today's perfect carry-on.
- Heavy-duty nylon material
- Heavy-duty zippers
- Ergonomic handles
- ...large open compartment if you want to use ...(the) bundle-wrap (method for) your clothing.
Stallings also added, "really cheap luggage is almost always less secure and sturdy." Carry-on limits for most domestic airlines is 22" x 14" x 9". Always check with your choice of airline to be sure. Stallings displayed our popular Sky Train, saying the "cool features" included:
