UNLIMITED FUNCTION:

Red Oxx develops bags with multipurpose use in every design. When a bag is at hand it is your closest companion. It carries your living essentials. Your bag gets you there. It helps you to survive.

By doing so it defines who you are under this pretense. So when you have your one bag and you’re travelling, it’s important that whatever environment, or whatever situation you may encounter, your bag should be as adaptable as a Marine. Undeniably no limits, full function.

MOBILITY:

A bag goes with you where ever you go. It’s a part of you. It’s vital that this bag be comfortable to carry, strong in structure, yet flexible in size. In addition, it should shine in its ability to carry what you need it to carry.

Therefore our bags are soft-sided. No wheels here to get in the way, break or take up space. Yet they are hand-built using precise stitching that is reinforced at stress points. They won’t break under duress. They are fit with the largest YKK Vislon zippers which are made to be impenetrable, durable, and fully functional.

For instance, no matter if it’s 30 degrees below zero outside, pouring down rain or dumping snow, or it’s a sweltering 100, your bag zipper works every time. Obviously, Red Oxx gear is made to move with you, and for you.

POWER:

Accordingly, power is defined as unlimited function and mobility working together. They’ll get your belongings where they need to go, on time, in one piece. So you can have peace of mind.

Red Oxx Gear is hand-crafted in Billings, Montana at our state-of-the-art factory located a block from our brick and mortar Retail Showroom. 98%+ of our bag materials are sourced from other fine American companies.

Red Oxx does not out-source or off-shore any bags we sell under our brand. It’s designed in Billings, Montana. And it’s made here, and then shipped out from our store shipping dock to your doorstep.

Even our off-brand Travel Accessories are mostly American made. If they aren’t the companies are thoroughly researched (such as Seki Edge) to make certain their standards in quality, reliability and usefulness, match our own.

13 COLORS

Red Oxx offers most of our bags in 13 vibrant colors. Choose from basic black, bordeaux, coal, forest, khaki, mariner, midnight, olive, red, orange, safari (a two-tone khaki and de-luster olive), saffron or iris.

The only bags that are not available in these lovely shades are our Railroad Gear and Kit Bags. The specialty Railroad bags are made using a heavy-duty all black Ballistic 1050 weight nylon. Our simple basic Aviator Kit Bags are only made in black 1000 weight CORDURA® Brand Nylon Fabric.

All black and all full color travel bags are built using 1000 weight CORDURA® Brand Nylon Fabric. This fabric is colorfast, water resistant, resists stains, tears, and also has a high abrasion resistance. All Red Oxx Packing Cubes are made using soft 400 weight CORDURA® Brand Nylon Pack Cloth.

VETERAN OWNED

Red Oxx is founded, owned, and operated by United States Military Veterans since 1986. Company founder James Markel Senior, Capt. Ret., served in both the U.S. Army and the Marine Corps. Son and CEO Jim Markel (Jr.) is also an ex Marine Recon Parachute Rigger. Company President Perry was a Petty Officer Parachute Rigger in the Navy. Both take their experience as riggers and apply it to bag manufacturing.

Which brings us to the core of the company philosophy…

A parachute rigger’s motto is "I will be sure, always." – meaning that since you built and packed that parachute, you’re responsible that it functions properly and never fails – or your hide is on the line.
